About Us
It all began in 1983, when we bought Bonnie (Tipstar Alanna). She was by Banderilla of Marlish out of Delridge Tipsy (a Falk g. daughter). Her breeder encouraged us to join a dog club and we started obedience training. Her hips were scored and she had a total of 7. Bonnie had a superb temperament and great character; she became a prolific winner in the obedience ring

Through her breeder I met Isobel Donking, whose knowledge of bloodlines was endless and her willingness to impart this precious information was the start of my interest in pedigrees and breeding. Thus, Bonnie became my foundation bitch and, on New Year’s Eve 1985, she produced 9 super pups by Rhinestone of Brittas – my ‘A’ litter.
Of this litter 5 were to become companions, 2 went to obedience homes where they worked up to ‘A’ and one went on to Agility winning many 1st’s, notably the Vetzyme Circular Knock-out Competition during the 2-day G.S.D. Breed show at Caldicot Castle. 5 pups were hip-scored and were all under a total of 7. We kept Katie (Pepnick Abuzz), Hip Score 2:4 and, like her mum, Katie’s temperament was superb.

Katie was mated to Ch. Meik vd Talquelle (SchH III FH – Hip Score 2:2). Katie had 5 pups; 3 went as companions, 1 went to a friend to do security work and we kept Elkie (Pepnick Bobcat), her Hip Score was 2:13. She was a super bitch and won at Open Shows under all-round judges. However, I felt her hip score was too high and she was never bred from.

Katie was mated again, this time to the all-black Dux vom Burg Esch (SchH III IPO.3 FH ‘V’ KKI A stamp normal). She had 5 pups; 3 went as companions, 1 went to Schutzhund. I kept Yazz (Pepnick Citabria), Hip Score Total 7. Yazz qualified SchH III. What can I say about Yazz? She was my best friend and I owe her more than words can say. She was extraordinary and not just because she “put me on the map” in Schutzhund - she will always occupy a special place in my heart.

Yazz’s first litter (the ‘D’ litter) was by Rothick Rival SchH.III. She had 8 pups; 1 went as a companion, 2 went in to obedience homes and worked ‘A’ and ‘B’, 1 became a registered PAT Dog, 4 went in to Schutzhund (3 of whom gained SchH.III many times).
Yazz’s second litter was by Ary von der Rohrenfurth SchH.I KKI ‘V’. There were 9 in this litter; 6 went as companions, 1 went to Schutzhund gaining SchH.I, 1 went to the Prison Services and 1 to Working Trials qualifying right through to PD ex.

I do hope you will take the time to peruse the rest of the website, where you will be able to follow my all consuming hobby’s journey from the mid-1980’s to date.
Throughout the journey my focus has been Quality not Quantity and I have never deviated from my goal to produce consistently sound, well-balanced GSD’s, who are as at home in a working environment as they are by the fireside.
I am proud of all my pups whether they become constant, inseparable, companion pets, achieve high accolades at competition level or become working dogs within the Police Forces.
I am profoundly grateful for the guidance of Denis Steurs, who has helped me keep to the true path; those friends who have given me unending support negotiating all the twists and turns along the way and those who have never faltered in their belief and trust in my judgement.
Most of all, I will always be eternally grateful to the individuals, working homes and Police Forces who have had pups off me. It doesn’t matter how good the breeding programme, without their hard work, care and dedication there would be no successes!
I am very proud of your achievements.

“Cat-napping”

The bitch in the above photograph was the constant companion of that little boy until her loyal vigil ended when she died at the age of 15. The young lady and her companion below are just starting out on their journey together.
