PROGENY – JENSIL INDDY AT PEPNICK (INDDY)
When Pepnick Fol Thai’s owners decided to breed we went to Belgium, where she was mated to the late, great Tom Van’t Leefdaalhof, twice World Champion SchH.III and that’s how Inddy (Jensil Inddy at Pepnick Hip Score 2:2 Elbows 0:0) came in to my life. Inddy is featured prominently in my bloodlines.
Jensil Inddy at Pepnick (Tom Van’t Leefdaalhof x Pepnick Fol Thai)

Tom Van’t Leefdaalhof (Qerry von Haus Antverpa x Ruth Van’t Leefdaalhof)

Tom was owned, trained and handled by the great Ronny Van Den Berghe. I would like to offer my gratitude to Ronny for allowing me to use this terrific dog - an honour indeed.
THE ‘H’ GANG
My ‘H’ litter, born 15.10.03, (Zidane vom Haus Sevens x Jensil Inddy at Pepnick) was, without doubt, another outstanding litter.
Zidane vom Haus Sevens (Magbert vom Blitzen Stein x Randa vom Haus Sevens)

Featured below (in no particular order) are just some of the ‘H’ Gang.
Pepnick Half-Penny (Milly) BH, CDex and UDex. Her Hip Score is 5:5

Though no longer with us, Milly will always be remembered. She truly was a super girl.
Pepnick Hocus Pocus (Spike) BH, CDex, UD and SchH.III

Both owned by Dave Edmunds, whose hard work and efforts took these two to the top. Both dogs were used to being in the limelight - they starred on the ‘Silver Screen’ and TV.
At the tender of 7½, Spike and owner Dave recently qualified SchH.III with scores of 92-93-88 = 273. What an achievement to be proud of.
Pepnick Havoc (Taz)

BUT IT’S MY FORT!!!!!
Nothing “quackers” about this little lad; he certainly knows Duck dog food is best for him! www.ducknatuurvoeding.com
Pepnick Havoc (Taz) and Pepnick Forrest Gump (Dex)

We featured Dex earlier; here he is again with another of ‘the clan’, Taz. Taz has now swapped living in cardboard boxes (above) for lounging on park benches (methinks he should have been named Pepnick Hobo!!). He is an absolute character, a real “busy bee”, however, somewhere in between escapades he found time to gain his BH. Taz is a much loved member of the Fermor family. Even though retired from working, he is still very active in the sport and plays a particularly large role in the training and development of the young helper, Pete, at White Cliff Sports Dog Club. http://www.twcsportsdog.co.uk/index.html
Despite his age (now seven) he is still so fast that he keeps even the most experienced helpers and workers on their toes; they certainly need a can or two of Red Bull to work with him!
In fact, we are lucky indeed to have these photos. of him as, unfortunately, all recent pictures are blurred (which illustrates the point about his speed).

Here he is again, nose to the ground, fully focused on a scent (now if he could only find some white truffles ..........).

Pepnick High Spirit (Ci)
Owned by John Clark, Ci is a lovely boy. John must have been so proud of his hard work; not only has he qualified SchHIII but he was also selected as a “Reserve” in the G.B. Team at the 2007 WUSV in Bratislava Slovensko. Ci has a 2:2 Hip Score and 0:0 Elbows. He has also attained tracking qualifications (but I do not have the details).

Congratulations again to John and Ci (Pepnick High Spirit) SchH.III, who were placed 28th out of 42 at the 2010 FCI World Tracking Championships. High accolade indeed.
Pepnick Hard Line (Cain) Hip Score 8:5

What a handsome boy he is. His temperament is outstanding. With his first owner, Rod Bunn, he gained SchHIII. He was sold to West Midlands Police where he is a General Purpose Police Dog.
Pepnick Highflier
A very glamorous, shapely and richly coloured dog who has acquitted himself well by qualifying to SchHIII. His Hip Score is 3:4. Unfortunately, I do not have a photograph of this handsome lad.
Pepnick Harvestman (Blake) Hip Score 6:5

Blake is pictured below (before his retirement) with his ex-handler PC Robins.

When he was a General Purpose Dog Blake also gained the qualification of Firearms Support Dog. On his last licensing course he reached the top grade of “Excellent” (to gain a grade of “Excellent” the team have to be competent in all aspects of work at “Excellent” level).
Blake stood at stud with the police and, like his brothers, passed his attributes on to his progeny. Two of his sons were on initial courses and another son is a police dog with the States of Jersey police (when this dog came back for his refresher course and licensing he was given the standard of “Excellent” as well).
He has earned a well-deserved rest and, having landed on all four paws, now “resides” at Blenheim Palace, where he is living with their Gamekeeper.
With his superb, sensible character, high drive and endless enthusiasm, I have no doubt he will adapt well to his new role. I look forward to hearing more news of his progress.
Pepnick Holy Ghost (Spice)

I could not end this without including my beautiful girl Spice. Yes, she has been featured elsewhere but, as one of the ‘H’ Gang, she too deserves a mention. She is my constant companion and I consider myself very lucky and proud to be her owner. Spice may not have the illustrious qualifications of her siblings, however, like her dam Inddy, she has produced quality pups and I am sure that this strong bitch line will influence bloodlines for generations to come.
THE ‘I’ TEAM
The ‘I’ litter was born 21.05.05 (Zidane van’t Leefdaalhof x Jensil Inddy at Pepnick). What can I say about this litter? All stars in their own right.
Pepnick Iron Maiden (Hip Score 4:3) SchH.I, II and III

What a lovely girl she is. Congratulations to Natasha Wincott and Pepnick Iron Maiden (pictured above and below) on gaining their SchH.II, at Severnside Schutzhund Club. This successful duo then went on to gain SchH.III at Severnside, where this winning team took 2nd place with an overall score of 273 (87.92.94).

We wish you both all the very best for the future.
Pictured below with his handler, Sgt. Burke, is another of my handsome lads, Pepnick I-Spy (alias Hawk). This picture was taken when he was still a “baby.

On his last licensing course Hawk was given an “Advanced” grade, whilst in the tracking and defence areas of assessment he gained “Excellent” grades. Comments from the instructor in these two areas were:
- Tracking: “Hawk worked tirelessly throughout the course on all services.”
- Criminal work: “Hawk has a very effective bite and shows exceptional determination in the weapon attack.”
At time of writing Hawk was on a refresher course and showing exceptional promise of achieving the standard of “Excellent”.
Here he is again, even younger, playing with Ellie in the garden (not sure I would have been brave enough to bare my toes though).

His brother, Pepnick Icon (Hugo), pictured below with his handler, also became a General Purpose Dog with the same force.

Here too is a young Hugo, practising his hypnotic powers on Jack; who was obviously immune as that large plate of steak never did appear!!

Their sister, Pepnick Ice Maiden (Holly – Hip Score 2:2) joined them as a brood bitch.
Another sister, Pepnick Harriet (Keira) joined West Midlands Police Force as a brood bitch. Now retired, her last litter is 12 months of age and looking strong. Of this litter at least one bitch is being kept to join their breeding programme. A young male has already passed out (without going on a course!) and a further two have been allocated to their handlers. A fourth male is with Gloucester Police whilst two more have gone to the Met.
Meanwhile, two other brothers, Pepnick Inca (Hip Score 8:4) and Pepnick Indigo (Hip Score 2:2) joined West Midlands Force and became General Purpose Dogs. One of these boys later transferred duties to Ireland.
Lastly, but carrying out just as vital a role, is Pepnick Indian Summer. Summer is owned by Graham and is his constant companion; she also “patrols” with him when he carries out his duties as a Gamekeeper.
What a versatile litter this turned out to be.
THE ‘K’ KIDSAs mentioned briefly in “Brood Bitches”, Inddy was on loan to Thames Valley Police for a year. During this time she was mated to Hasko von der Möhnwiese SchH.III, resulting in the ‘K’ litter which was born 05.11.06.
There were 2 male pups (Pepnick Karo and Pepnick Keel) and one of these likely lads found himself in Her Majesty’s Prison (not as an inmate I hasten to add!).
There were 5 females; Pepnick Kasha (aka Nala - Hip Score 5:8) joined the Metropolitan Police Force’s breeding programme, whilst Pepnick Kim and Kinsey joined Thames Valley’s breeding programme. One of these two young ladies (Nell) had a Hip Score of 5:7.
Pictured below is Pepnick Keen Spirit (Toyha) Hip Score 4:5. Toyha joined Pepnick Jewel at the Whitewall kennels, where she is Sally’s companion and is also being trained by her.
Pepnick Kayleigh (Nudge - Hip Score 3:3, Elbows 0:0)

Nudge truly is a lovely bitch with a terrific temperament. This bitch has terrific shape, which is reflected in her great movement. She can be seen above indulging in her favourite pastime, following her nose (which I might add tends to lead her into all sorts of mischief – none of which is her fault of course - the blame falls squarely on the nose!!). Nudge is owned by Norman and Sandra Bridge, who are keen walkers (which should keep Nudge’s nose out of trouble)!
Here she is again at a recent walk to raise funds for the Alzheimer Society.

Pictured below is Inddy, Hawk (her son) and Andy.

Inddy (09.06.01 06.10.11)
Inddy did so much to enrich my life. She was a very special girl and throughout her life she never failed to impress those who met her. In her younger days she gained her BH and could hold her own in the working arena. Her tracking ability was second to none and she proved time and time again that anything the boys could do she could do better.
Her advancing years made absolutely no difference to her drive and desire to work and stay active. Thus, after heavy deliberation and much soul-searching, I decided that it was in her best interests to place her where she would receive more stimulation and attention than circumstances allowed me to provide.
Inddy went to live with Andy, Paula and Hawk (her son) where I know she was given every opportunity to enjoy life to its fullest. Though her death has been a great blow to us all, she has left us an inheritance of a wealth of influence on bloodlines; her presence will be seen and felt for generations to come.
