PROGENY – PEPNICK LET IT BE ME (SCRUFF)

Scruff (Daio van de Hogemeentocht x Pepnick Holy Ghost) really is a super girl. She is featured in my Brood Bitch section and in Spice’s Progeny section (being one of my “little L’ers”). She has grown into a lovely, sweet-natured girl with a zest for life that is second to none. We are delighted with her Hip Score results (3:4) and Elbow Score 0:0.

THE ‘N’ LITTER

My ‘N’ litter was born 09.10.09. Their sire is Ronnie van den Berghe’s World Champion Como vom Bonauer Wald (V Kkl.1 ZB SchH 3). He is pictured below during a training session in Belgium.

Here he is again competing at the 2009 WUSV where he was placed 7th.

This is Scruff’s first litter and she proved herself to be an exceptional mum. The almost equal mix of dogs and bitches certainly kept me busy with their intrepid inquisitiveness and Scruff was more than fully occupied keeping tabs on them! As each pup left, cradled in the arms of their new owners, I could almost see her counting ..... 1 down....., 2 down.....!!!

Nelson has travelled the furthest. He is now in Belgium with the world renowned trainer, Denis Steurs (pictured below). I am honoured indeed that he chose this smashing young dog to join his team.

Here he is again, pictured with An Wesenbeek http://users.telenet.be/gedragsbegeleiding/ and “friend”.

Pictured below is Pepnick Name of the Game (Murphy) who has joined West Midlands Police Force, where he is currently with his puppy walker and looking great. They have high hopes of this young lad with a view to adding him to their stud programme. We wish them all the best.

Murphy is on his initial course at the moment and is looking very good.

Meanwhile, congratulations to Terry Wright with Tess (Pepnick Nevada). Terry has received Tess’ scores of: Hips 4:4 and Elbows 0:0.

Additionally, Tess is apparently working brilliantly having great fun with obedience, tracking, etc. Terry is aiming for a BH with her but, most importantly, Tess really is enjoying it. Keep an eye on these pages for more updates on this intrepid pair.

Pictured below is Tess being put through her paces. Perhaps she should be called “Ton-up Tess”, as she practices her obedience at 100m.p.h.

tess

Here she is again, showing a lot less petticoat, a bit more decorum and a great deal of interest in what’s going on in the grass!

A more recent picture of Tess below. What a lovely girl she is.

Tess

More progress updates from Terry to say that Tess is full of enthusiasm and energy tackling the variety of exercises and, with some fine-tuning, I am sure this duo will soon be putting “notches” on her leads. Methinks this is another one who will claim the title of “A Collie in Drag”.

Terry and Tess

Terry and Tess pictured above left after winning 1st place Novice at W. Suffolk Open Obedience Show. This was their first show. Well done both.

More good news from Terry and Tess, who have been placed 2nd and 3rd wherever they compete, only missing out on 1st by ¼ or ½ point each time. They are aiming for their BH next spring. Congratulations both, I am sure that elusive 1st place will soon be within your grasp.

Pictured below is Tess getting to grips with her training.

Coby

Massive congratulations to Patrick and Madeleine Beck with Coby. They achieved their BH at Severnside on Saturday, 30th April. Well done both.

Pictured below is Rudi. This is the lad who threw himself so enthusiastically into my reen. According to both Richard and Nerys (his owners) he and they are having great fun.

Mmmmm, Rudi looks as if he has just been “caught in the act.....again”!

Pepnick Naughty But Nice (Pepnic) eying up the shrubbery!

Pepnic

Pepnic’s mum, Carol Davies, says she is doing really well and learning agility (although she is taking it slowly as she is still young). She is very quick to learn and Carol hopes to start competing later in the year

Finally, pictured below is Dixie being put through her paces by Dave Fermor http://www.twcsportsdog.co.uk/index.html. I think Dave is trying to convince her that choc drops go in the trolley first not in the tummy!
